The first European screening of "Never Enough" attracted more people than ever before. About 800 freeride fans from all over Europe made their way to the NWD 9 screening during the Roc d’Azur bike festival in the south of France. Cedric Gracia as well as Mavic team riders Anne-Caroline Chausson and Fabien Barel joined the New World Disorder 9 European premiere together with the hooked spectators. Last Friday night, the La Reserve Club in St. Raphael was totally packed. When the movie began, everybody eyeballed either the big screen or one of the twelve Plasmas at the La Reserve Club in St. Raphael. From the very first part, which was Paul Basagoitia’s segment, the people were stoked by the freeride action. “Never Enough” shows what freeriding and the gravity disciplines of mountain biking are all about. The whole spectrum is covered: not only one hardcore trick followed by another, but adventurous mountain biking conquering locations all over the world for the first time and pure downhill racing like during the Nissan UCI World Cups. The parts of Wayne Goss, the Athertons (Rachel, Dan and Gee), Benny Korthaus, Adam Hauck, Aaron Chase, Andreu und Lluis Lacondeguy, Kyle Strait, Cameron McCaul, Cameron Zink, Kirt Voreis, Darren Berrecloth, Paul Basagoitia, Robbie Bourdon, Brandon Semenuk or Alex Pro guarantee a diversified mixture of skills and styles. Of course, the visitors celebrated the attendant “movie stars” Cedric Gracia and Fabien Barel during their parts in particular. The noise level rose during the movie till the complete club was just in a mixture of sizzling vibes and rage when Robbie Bourbon finally lands his 70 ft. flat spin on the twelfth attempt at the end of the film. The cross over to the after party was done quite fast, because everybody wanted to discuss the NWD9 content and filming, to have a few cheers and Red Bull long drinks with the pros or just to dance hard, still being emotionally pumped up by the movie. The pro-riders stayed like most of the audience till the early morning hours and obviously had a good time. Oakley rider Cedric Gracia said: “I just love the atmosphere here at the NWD European premiere parties during the Roc d’Azur festival. My part isn’t a long one this time, but the guys here gave me a lot of props, not only during the screening. Thanks everybody for the support, that’s just great!” In 2009, the Roc d’Azur festival, which is considered to be the biggest one in Europe attracting over 30.000 visitors each year, will form the framework for the European Premiere of the New World Disorder 10, again. So be there or be square.
